Shayla K is a 23 year old soulful and captivating Singer/Songwriter from Wollongong, Australia who is known for her heartfelt lyrics and songs of  the RNB/Soul genre. Shayla K’s music is a heartfelt reflection of her life experiences and inspirations. Some of her musical inspirations are Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, Julia Michaels, JoJo, H.E.R. and Tori Kelly.

Shayla K began singing/writing songs in 2010 when she was 9 years old but her career began in 2016 when she started to perform gigs at local venues and events. She began to get recognition in 2018 when she won the Shoalhaven Open Mic Night that took place at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre and had the opportunity to perform at WIN Stadium before a Football game.

Since releasing her debut single “Growing Up” in 2022 and then her second single “I’M NOT LISTENING” closely after, Shayla K has been making her mark in the Australian Music Scene. Shayla K’s drive is to connect with the listener and make people feel heard and not alone. Her lyrics explore themes of love, self-empowerment,  following your dreams and heartbreak, making all of her songs relatable and authentic.

Shayla K has recently released her long-awaited Debut Album titled “Purple Walls” that has been a lifelong dream of hers. This album shows her artistic evolution and shows exactly who she is as a person and a musician. Her music has been played all over the world, in 100+ countries, she has also been interviewed about her debut album on Radio Stations such as ABC Illawarra and on multiple podcasts around Australia and beyond. With the release of her Debut Album and the success of her Album Launch, Shayla K has made her mark as an RNB/Soul Artist in the Music Industry.
