About Shayla K

RNB/Soul Artist — Singer/Songwriter

Shayla K’s love for music began because of her Dad and his love for music. Her Dad played in Christian Rock bands such as Fearscape. She also went to band practice for church with her Dad and would sing every word before she even knew how to read. She also had big dreams of being a Singer and a Songwriter from watching Taylor Swift and Hannah Montana live out their big dreams. She then began writing songs when she was just 9 years old and creating fake CD’s and telling her Mum and Dad she was releasing an album that night. She would also put on shows in her living room and get her Mum and Dad to interview her, which lead her to her first performance in front of audience singing “Speak Now” by Taylor Swift at her Primary School Talent Show.

Shayla K then began singing lessons in 2011 at local Dance School, Miss Zoe’s School Of Dance with her first singing teacher Jade and fell in love with singing.
